Let’s Talk About Colour Theory!

Let's get geeky and talk about COLOUR THEORY!

This is something our team is SO passionate about.- and if you've ever worked on a branding project with us - YOU KNOW. (sorry, not sorry)

The use of colours in your business' identity and branding are so much more than just a means of communicating your message visually. They evoke emotion and connection (or disconnect), and are a visible representation of both the said and unsaid aspects of your company. We believe, just like your key font choices, your colours are also effectively broken down into three main categories of use and attachment.

Here's our brand theory:

  1. WHO YOU ARE

  2. WHAT YOU DO

  3. ATMOSPHERE AND CULTURE

These are the categories your colours and fonts should be broken into and selected ALWAYS with these 3 categories in mind. The characteristics of each of these categories should be embodied by the fonts and colours you see fit to be selected for their purpose and message. This is alway why it is ESSENTIAL to have your mission and vision for your business complete prior to digging into your visual selections of your branding, because you just might find yourself in a re-brand down the road sooner than you anticipated!

So, let’s break down some colours, shall we?
